Cosmetology is never black or white; it is various shades of gray at all times. Like a sportig event, it is never the same, always different. The rules are set in black and white, but each event has elements that change the results. Our staff is here to explain and establish a reason the rules have been set in black and white and to work through as a team; coach and player, on how to best execute the planned service.

Our Staff

Sandy Anderson:
Sandy is the owner/instructor for Aloha Cosmetology Center, PC. Trained and taught at Academy of Beauty Culture as an instructor and was Director of Education at New Image Cosmetology Technical Center. Sandy is the owner/stylist of Aloha Hair Care in Granite City, IL.

Melinda (Mindy) Jacobson:
Melinda (Mindy) Jacobson: Mindy is our Head Instructor. She started in the Cosmetology field with receiving her training at the Academy of Beauty Culture for her license in Cosmetology and as an Instructor. Mindy has been an instructor with the Academy of Beauty Culture and at New Image Cosmetology Technical Center. She has had 10 years of sales and management experience as the Manager of cosmetology supplies for State Beauty Supply. Mindy is owner/stylist of the Cutting Connections in Highland, IL.

Billy Jean (BJ) Withers:
Billy Jean (BJ) Withers: BJ is our Styles Director. She has extensive experience in the Cosmetology field both as a stylist and instructor. She received her Cosmetology training from Coiffure School of Beauty Culture, and she trained and instructed at the Granite City School of Beauty. BJ has worked as a stylist in the area and presently works at Salon Adara. She has worked as an instructor in the area for many years.

Martha (Marti) Bequette:
Marti is our Student Coordinator. Her 12 years of teaching experience brings all class and clinic skills together. She received her training from Academy of Beauty Culture. Marti is an independent stylist at Hair News in Swansea, IL.

Earl Anderson:
Earl assists new students with registration in our office and corresponds with potential students to help them with questions about enrollment. He also handles the marketing for our school and maintains vital student information in our database.
